We, at ThoughtSpot, are looking for an Engineering Leader - AgentSpot to lead and grow the team based out of Bangalore. Come join a team of world-class engineers building AgentSpot, ThoughtSpot's agentic AI platform. This team is responsible for building a multi-tenant platform where business users create, run, and share AI agents and multi-step workflows that reason over enterprise data and take action on their behalf. This includes the agent-authoring and conversational experience, an LLM-powered agent runtime built on managed agent-execution and code-execution sandboxes, a secure tool and connector plane that lets agents act on enterprise systems, agent memory and knowledge bases, workflow orchestration, and the observability, evaluation and guardrail infrastructure that keeps agentic systems safe, reliable and strictly tenant-isolated at scale.

In this role, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible to manage a team that designs, builds and scales to help millions of business-people make smarter decisions.

What you'll do:

• Manage and mentor engineers to be more effective at their work and grow their careers.
• Drive the quality and stability of the product by getting hands-on as required with code, design and test plan reviews, and debugging distributed and agentic systems issues.
• Build a culture of operational excellence with a focus on observability, evaluations, performance, scalability, cloud cost and security.
• Architect, design, develop and operationalize high performance, scalable, resilient and secure systems.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across product and engineering teams, to establish KPI for different services and own end-to-end delivery and lifecycle management.
• Identify and help implement the most appropriate technologies, protocols and frameworks leading to efficient solutions.
• Defining strategy and technical roadmap for continuously improving release and deployment velocity, scale, performance and reliability of ThoughtSpot services
• Provide technical leadership, and lead initiatives across global teams.
• Recruit, inspire, and build world-class teams. Develop and grow leaders to continue pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence and execution for on-time delivery of projects with top quality
• Help evolve a culture of selfless-excellence in which each person does the best work of their lives and amplifies everyone around.

What you'll bring:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields, with 10+ years of experience in software development, 3+ years of experience in leading teams.
• Hands-on experience with, or strong curiosity for, LLM-powered and agentic AI systems, agent frameworks, and the realities of running non-deterministic AI safely and cost-effectively in production.
• Prior expertise in building SaaS platforms and applications.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience in architecting secure, highly available, and performant systems
• Experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or Java.
• Brings in a high level of self-motivation to solve complex problems and challenges.
• You have experience in hiring, managing, and growing teams.
• You love building and leading exceptional teams in a fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment. You have a strong bias for action and being resourceful.
• You are obsessed with customer-experience and uncompromising engineering standards.

Spotters are expected in-office 3+ days per week to be part of the energy of their local team. Being in-office is our default way of working, with flexibility available where it's genuinely needed.
