We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead and scale engineering teams at Servify. This is a high-impact, org-level leadership role responsible for driving execution excellence, technical direction, and team development across platform and internal engineering systems.
This role blends leadership and technical ownership, where you will guide engineering leads, drive architectural decisions, and ensure systems are built for scale, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product and Business teams to deliver critical platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities -
Org-Level Engineering Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a group of Engineering Leads across multiple teams spanning backend, frontend, mobile, and platform engineering.
- Drive alignment across teams to ensure cohesive execution and consistent engineering standards.
Delivery & Execution Excellence
- Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale platform and internal tooling initiatives.
- Establish strong execution frameworks, sprint rigor, and predictable delivery cadences.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks across teams proactively
Technical Oversight & Architecture
- Provide technical direction across systems built on Node.js, Python, React, and mobile stacks (Android, iOS, React Native).
- Guide architectural decisions for scalable, distributed systems on AWS.
- Ensure best practices in system design, performance, security, and reliability.
People Development & Mentorship
- Coach and mentor Engineering Leads to grow into strong people managers and technical leaders.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Play a key role in hiring and retaining high-quality engineering talent.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to translate business goals into scalable technology solutions.
- Drive clarity in priorities, trade-offs, and execution plans.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage metrics and data to guide engineering decisions, improve system performance, and optimize delivery.
- Establish dashboards and KPIs for engineering effectiveness and platform health.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure high system availability, observability, and incident management practices.
- Drive improvements in development processes, CI/CD, and release management.
Experience -
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant time in engineering leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing Engineering Managers or Leads in product-based organizations.
- Strong background in scaling engineering teams and systems in high-growth environments.
Technical Expertise
- Solid understanding of backend development using Node.js and familiarity with Python.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Exposure to mobile ecosystems: Android, iOS, and/or React Native.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and distributed system design.
- Strong understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data-driven systems.
