Engineering Manager(PLSQL, Python , AWS)

Essential Skills and Experience

7+ years of experience in data or software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role

Demonstrated success in leading teams to deliver business-critical projects on time and within scope

Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in communicating timelines, trade-offs, and decisions across technical and non-technical audiences

Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, manage dependencies, and drive alignment across multiple teams

Excellent people leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring, developing, and motivating engineers

Experience improving delivery processes and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative delivery practices

Knowledge of investment management industry concepts, particularly security reference data, fund reference data, transactions, orders, holdings, different asset classes and fund accounting

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience managing data engineering teams across both traditional database systems and cloud-based platforms

Background in delivering large-scale data migration or modernization initiatives within complex organizations

Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance considerations in financial services

Track record of building and scaling high-performing, delivery-focused engineering teams

Ability to champion innovation and adoption of new practices, tools, and delivery models

Experience of front office investment risk and/or analytics systems
