Role Manager - Product Development
Job Purpose:
The Manager of Product Development is responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise for developing and supporting new and existing software products within Custom Application Research & Development (CARD) at HCA Healthcare. This individual will analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and cloud-native implement solutions in an agile development environment, and provide mentorship to other developers.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:
Overall, 1015 years of experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in Managing product development lifecycles, user testing, interaction design, and Agile development.
- 3+ years of team management experience.
- Hands-on experience building cloud native .NET applications (GCP is preferred)
- Strong knowledge in leading front-end, back-end, database developers
- Familiarity with Lean/Agile techniques in development environment
- Knowledge of version control tools like GitHub, Azure Repos
- Knowledge of Project & Service management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps and MS Projects
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
- Staff meetings, resource allocation management, performance reviews, time management, PTO, employee development planning, and mentoring.
