HOP is working towards building the next-generation digital banking platform for seamless and economical currency exchange, with technology at the crux of it. In a technology-driven era, many financial services platforms still lack a customer experience and are cumbersome to use. HOP aims at building a state-of-the-art tech-centric, customer-focused solution.
moneyHOP is India's first cross-border neo-bank providing millennials the ability to Send & Spend conveniently and economically across the globe using HOPRemit (An online remittance portal) and HOP app + Card (A multi-currency bank account).
moneyHOP already has an established operational presence in India, with headquarters at Bangalore ( team strength 50+) and a functional office based out of Dehradun (Rajpur Road), and a team of 10+ employees across business, operations, and support functions. As the company enters its next phase of growth, it is now focused on building and scaling its technology and engineering ecosystem in India.
This position is a crucially important position in the firm, and the person hired will have the liberty to drive the product and provide direction in line with business needs.
What You'll DoPartners with the teams to have a clear understanding of how the technology stack is tied to business outcomes and our bottom line.
Anticipates and recognises bottlenecks in work processes between teams and makes suggestions for ongoing improvement.
Coordinates with the team to define the measures of success for process improvements.
Tests and maintains software applications and related programs and procedures by using a variety of software development tools, following the design requirements of the customer.
Researches and recommends frameworks and architectural/code design patterns.
Achieved operational excellence (such as unit testing, establishing SLAs, programming for resiliency and scalability).
Contributes to product development, listening to customer needs, capturing feedback, and communicating that feedback to the business.
Reviews the skill and expertise requirements to accomplish team goals and identifies staffing and talent resources to fill project roles.
Mentors Individual Contributors and Managers by providing advice and recommendations based on their own experience.
Who You AreBachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
5 + years of management experience in a software development environment, leading an engineering team in the Fintech/BFSI industry is a plus
8 + years of software development work experience (strong hands in NodeJS/Java/Spring Backend Ecosystem and HTML/CSS/Angular/ReactJS Frontend Ecosystem)
Solid experience of software development technologies, techniques, and phases - Estimation, Scheduling, Design, Development, Testing, and Delivery, and Maintenance
Experience in full-stack web application development and associated skills (REST, Spring framework, SQL, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build consensus across the enterprise
Self-motivated, able to deal with ambiguity and pressure to deliver
