About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of highly scalable backend systems that power millions of transactions. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges across payments, transaction processing, distributed systems, and platform scalability in a fast-paced product environment. You will lead a team of talented engineers while remaining closely involved in architecture, system design, and technology decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers.

• Drive architecture and design of scalable, high-performance distributed systems.

• Build and enhance microservices-based platforms handling high transaction volumes.

• Partner with Product, Business, and Engineering stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

• Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

• Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, design reviews, observability, and automation.

• Own project delivery and execution from design through production deployment.

• Build systems that are resilient, fault-tolerant, and optimized for performance.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend expertise.

• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture and AI Development

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, performance optimization, and system design.

• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency platforms.

• Strong exposure to cloud technologies and modern engineering practices.

• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Technical Stack Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka / Event-Driven Architecture, MySQL / PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS / GCP, Docker & Kubernetes
