· Leading team of engineers, designers and other personnel involved in the design, planning and development of engineering projects as well as support personnel. providing clear and concise instructions to the teams.

· Identify and build relationships with qualified vendors and consultants to assist with functions to be outsourced, as well as negotiating terms of agreement.

· Seek new business opportunities through networking, sales meetings, negotiations, cultivating referral sources, etc.

· Pre-award activities such as preliminary design, preparation of tender drawings and material take-offs, cost estimation of material, plant & preliminaries, collaborating with commercial / procurement in preparation of quotation, material sourcing & vendor development.

· Write and present project proposals and status reports.

· Review and approve all project plans and specifications; sign off on completion and appropriate intervals and upon completion of project.

· Determine and communicate project requirements, specifications, goals and objectives to the team.

· Proposing and managing budgets for projects. Set and follow departmental and project-specific budgets, approving all expenditures. Build relationships project with internal customers across the organization.

· Schedule and make assignments as needed, as well as procurement for necessary supplies, equipment, and ancillary services.

· Involvement in detailed design calculations, preparation of engineering data sheets & specifications, shop fabrication drawings.

· Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time working closely with the project management team and ensure proper execution of the job within the specified scope.

· Oversee all engineering and related projects, services, and functions.

· To front end with clients and handle queries and clarifications for the various engineering disciplines.

· To manage the design issues with the subcontractors and ensure compliance with the client design.

· Oversee outputs, quality assurance, quality control, checking and maintaining records as required and troubleshooting of design problems resulting from shop and field capabilities.

· Verify compliance with plans, industry and project standards, codes, legal requirements etc., as well as professional and industry-specific standards and regulations.

· Determining the need for training and talent development.

· Hire, train and mentor and manage the performance of engineering personnel, CAD operators and other support personnel for engineering department Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

· Maintain positive relations with external customers.

· Ensuring interface to have the support of upper management.

· Other duties as required to support the engineering department and organization-wide needs.

· Leverage engineering expertise to identify potential workplace hazards through regular assessments.

· Ensure that engineering-specific risks are thoroughly considered in the assessment process.

· Utilize engineering strategies to implement effective measures for mitigating or eliminating identified risks.

· Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate safety measures into project plans and processes.

· Seamlessly integrate emergency preparedness plans into engineering project documentation.

· Collaborate with the team to align emergency response protocols with engineering activities.

· Design and implement specialized employee training programs tailored to engineering tasks and risks.

· Ensure that engineering staff receives targeted training to address EHS concerns specific to their roles.

· Foster a safety-conscious culture within engineering teams through effective communication and engagement.

· Emphasize the engineering manager's role in creating a safe working environment.

· Initiate continuous improvement efforts within the engineering department for enhanced EHS practices.

· Implement lessons learned from projects to continually improve safety and environmental practices in engineering activities
