The Role You'll Play

As an Engineering Manager, you will drive technology strategy, execution excellence, and scalable platform development while aligning engineering initiatives with business objectives.

You will play a key leadership role in delivering reliable, high-performing systems, building strong engineering teams, and enabling business growth through technology.

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, you should be open to taking up related initiatives that support engineering excellence, operational efficiency, platform scalability, and continuous improvement across teams.

What You'll Be Driving

Technology Strategy & Architecture

• Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives
• Drive scalable architecture decisions across platforms and services
• Lead modernization initiatives including microservices and automation
• Ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and high-performing

Engineering Delivery & Execution

• Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle
• Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality standards
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices and standards
• Drive Agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives

Platform & System Management

• Manage core systems including user management and authentication
• Oversee billing, wallet, and payment-related systems
• Support messaging platforms including SMS and WhatsApp solutions
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance across systems

Team Leadership & Development

• Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams
• Define team structures, hiring plans, and capability development initiatives
• Drive performance management and career growth discussions
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Sales, and Leadership teams
• Translate business requirements into technical execution plans
• Contribute to strategic decision-making initiatives across the organization

Engineering Operations & Governance

• Establish KPIs for engineering efficiency and delivery performance
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and incident management processes
• Drive automation across testing, deployment, and monitoring activities
• Ensure compliance with security and data governance standards
• Evaluate and onboard technology solutions and tools
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership teams

Knowledge & Expertise We Value

Technical Capability

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures
• Experience managing infrastructure on Data Centers
• Knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, and messaging platforms
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools
• Understanding of system scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance
