Title: Engineering Manager, Frontend Product

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Frontend Product engineering team. You'll own the delivery, quality, and growth of a team of 6–10 engineers building the product experiences our customers use every day. This is a hands-off-keyboard leadership role focused on people management, technical direction, and cross-functional execution - partnering closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to ship high-quality software at a sustainable pace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, coach, and grow a team of 6–10 frontend/product engineers, including regular 1:1s, career development plans, and performance reviews.
• Own team execution: sprint planning, roadmap delivery, and balancing feature work with tech debt and platform health.
• Partner with Product Management and Design to translate business goals into a clear, prioritized engineering roadmap.
• Set and uphold technical standards for frontend architecture, code quality, accessibility, and performance.
• Drive hiring: define role needs, participate in interviews, and build a strong, diverse pipeline for the team.
• Identify and resolve process bottlenecks; continuously improve team velocity, quality, and engineering practices.
• Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Foster a healthy, inclusive team culture with high psychological safety and strong engineering craftsmanship.
• Stay close enough to the technical details to review architecture decisions and unblock the team when needed.

Skills and attributes for success:

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, with at least one team in the 6–10 engineer range.
• Prior hands-on experience as a frontend or full-stack engineer, with strong technical fluency in modern frontend frameworks.
• Track record of shipping product features on time while maintaining code quality and team morale.
• Strong people-management skills: coaching, giving direct feedback, handling performance issues, and developing engineers into senior/staff roles.
• Experience partnering with Product and Design in a fast-paced, iterative product development environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Experience with agile/scrum practices, sprint planning, and roadmap prioritization.

Nice to Have

• Experience scaling a frontend team through a period of rapid product or company growth.
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries.
