Engineering Manager (Financier)

We are embarking on an ambitious and exciting journey to build and redefine how modern financial services operate. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable, secure, cloud-native banking systems and leading a high-performing engineering team.

This role requires strong Banking / FinTech domain expertise, deep engineering leadership experience, and the ability to solve complex technical problems in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement architectural strategies that align with the unique requirements of BaaS, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with financial regulations.

• Ensure system designs for modern cloud-based architecture adhering to financial industry regulations and standards, including data security and privacy laws.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand banking requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

• Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure the reliability and security of banking systems.

• Directed system design and development utilizing a modern, cloud-based architecture.

• Efficiently manage resources to ensure timely delivery of complex banking solutions, balancing technical and regulatory demands.

Requirements

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.

• Over 10 years of development experience and more than 3 years of engineering management experience.

• Ideal candidate needs strong full lifecycle system development experience, including Java for backend, Angular for UI, and familiarity with Node.js or similar technologies.

• Proven ability to use cloud-native services and best practices for scalability, reliability, security, and cost optimization.

• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a focus on building a positive and collaborative team culture.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts effectively and project updates to team members and stakeholders.

• Skills in project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management to ensure successful project delivery.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex technical problems and make data-driven decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience in the development, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical business systems in financial institutions, particularly core banking systems.

• Project experience using SaaS Banking Platform Mambu.
