Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager Data Center to oversee the design, implementation, and operations of Jios data centers in Mumbai. This full-time role demands leadership in delivering high-performance, scalable infrastructure for telecom and digital platforms, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in data center operations, with significant experience in designing and optimizing large-scale facilities (Mandatory skill).
• Extensive knowledge of EPC (Evolved Packet Core), enabling seamless mobile network integration within data center environments (Mandatory skill).
• Strong background in the design and development of data center buildings, including layout, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling (Mandatory skill).
• Hands-on experience in managing hyperscale data centers, with a focus on achieving high availability and efficient resource utilization.
• Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, including the ability to regulate environmental controls for optimal equipment performance and energy efficiency.
• In-depth exposure to power distribution, backup power solutions, and energy optimization within data center ecosystems.
• Demonstrated leadership in engineering project management, guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex deployments and upgrades.
• Capable of coordinating end-to-end engineering activities, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with standards, and alignment with business goals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate across technical and stakeholder groups.

Role And responsibilities:

1.Experience of working in hyperscalers, with ability to Lead Large team of inter-disciplinary Engineers, delivering Integrated design and engineering of Hyperscale Data Centers globally 2.Coordinate with cross-discipline Engineering teams to ensure technical integrity and alignment to meet Project requirement.

3.In-depth knowledge of Power / HVAC and latest technologies implemented / innovation in pipeline in the Data Center Industry

4.Ensuring high-quality, future proofed, reliable and value engineered Design of Data Center 5.Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and ensure adherence to best practices 6. Ensure the adoption of emerging technologies or methodologies for improved efficiency
