Job title: Engineering Manager — Data & Analytics

Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid — 2 days in office)

Experience: 6–8 years

About the role

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of data engineers and analysts. The split is roughly 80% people management and 20% individual contribution, so you'll be hands-on enough to make strong technical calls while spending most of your time growing the team.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team spanning data engineering and analytics
Own mentoring, performance evaluation and career development
Contribute directly to technical work (around 20% of your time)
Shape technical direction across data pipelines and analytics
Partner with cross-functional teams on data platform requirements

Requirements

6–8 years of experience, including meaningful leadership experience
Experience managing both data engineers and analysts
Strong hands-on expertise in PySpark, Airflow and AWS
Working knowledge of Kafka (Flink is a plus, not mandatory)
Demonstrable track record of mentoring and developing engineers

Good to know

A formal Engineering Manager title is not mandatory. Team Leads and SDE3s with substantial leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

We particularly welcome candidates from OTT, product companies, e-commerce and quick commerce, D2C and EdTech backgrounds. Experience operating in lean teams is highly valued.
