We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – DevOps to lead and scale our DevOps engineering team. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and CI/CD practices, combined with strong people management and technical leadership skills. You will be responsible for driving DevOps strategy, reliability, security, and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing DevOps engineering team
- Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and hiring
- Foster a culture of ownership, automation, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Define and own the DevOps and cloud infrastructure strategy
- Drive adoption of cloud-native best practices (microservices, containers, service meshes)
- Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and cost optimization
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and postmortems
- Ensure Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, Network Policies, Secrets management)
- Collaborate with security teams to meet compliance and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
- 3+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead role
- Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in production environments
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
