Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Engineering Manager to work on a full-time basis. The role is a delivery leadership position within a large‑language‑model (LLM) training business, responsible for developing high‑quality foundational LLMs. The manager will oversee teams that perform supervised fine‑tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) tasks for enterprise and research customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large technical teams of 20 + engineers and data scientists across Python, JavaScript, Java, and other languages to execute project work.

• Collaborate directly with researcher clients to ensure satisfaction with delivered datasets and model outputs.

• Maintain rigorous review processes that guarantee dataset quality, code clarity, methodology soundness, and bug‑free deliverables.

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through stable production, taking responsibility for on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

• Identify, implement, and track measures that improve code quality and overall team productivity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in an engineering management role.

• Proven experience managing large, delivery‑focused technical teams, with hands‑on involvement in Python or Java development.

• Demonstrated ability to work with JavaScript codebases and to resolve quality issues through direct technical contribution.

• Strong people‑management skills, focused on motivating engineers, providing clear direction, and fostering a collaborative environment.

• Experience with LLM training pipelines, supervised fine‑tuning, or reinforcement learning from human feedback is highly desirable.
