About the role
We're building production agentic AI products — intelligent agents that reason, call tools, and act reliably at scale. We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team building these products end to end: from design and architecture through shipping, deployment, and iteration. This is a hands-on role. You'll lead and grow a team of engineers while staying close to the code — designing systems, reviewing pull requests, and jumping in on hard problems yourself. You set the technical bar by example.
What you'll do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building agentic AI products.
- Own delivery — from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and production quality.
- Stay hands-on: contribute to system design, write and review code, and unblock the team on hard technical problems.
- Drive engineering best practices — clean design, code quality, testing, and reliable release processes.
- Partner with product to turn ambiguous problems into shipped, working products.
- Hire well and raise the bar as the team scales.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of software engineering experience, with 1–2 years managing engineers.
- Has managed a team of 8–10 strong developers and shipped real products to production.
- Hands-on — actively codes and leads by technical example, not from a distance.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go.
- Solid system design and API architecture experience.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows and branch management.
- Comfortable with deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines and constructs.
Preferred
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Docker experience.
- Exposure to cloud platforms.
- Experience building LLM-based or agentic AI products.
What we value
Depth, ownership, and building things that work at scale. You take responsibility for outcomes, hold a high engineering bar, and grow the people around you.
