Our leading patient management platform is designed to enhance patient outcomes and streamline the workflow for healthcare providers. We&aposre expanding our engineering leadership team to further develop Rhythm Synergy, our flagship web application.
About The Role
As an Engineering Lead at Rhythm, you&aposll spearhead the backend development of Rhythm Synergy, leading a talented team of 4-7 software engineers in building life-changing healthcare technology. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine technical leadership with hands-on development while making a meaningful impact on patient care. You will drive technical excellence by managing sprint planning, collaborating with product teams, and ensuring quality delivery of backend features. Your expertise will shape our engineering culture, emphasizing rapid execution while maintaining high standards. The role offers significant growth potential and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge healthcare technology.
Overall you will
- Guide strategic technical decisions and set engineering standards
- Lead backend feature development from conception to deployment
- Mentor and develop a team of 3-6 product engineers and 1-2 QA engineers
- Contribute directly to the codebase and conduct code reviews
- Collaborate with product managers to translate user needs into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in Node.js and TypeScript
- 5+ years of development experience using SQL databases, PostgreSQL preferred
- Experience working with containerization and AWS cloud technologies
- Proven track record of technical leadership and team management
- Experience with modern software development practices and agile methodologies
- Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Outstanding communication skills in English
- React experience is valuable but not required
