- Technical Leadership: Lead and guide a team of engineers, providing technical expertise, mentorship, and support in project execution
- Set technical direction, define best practices, and enforce coding standards within the team
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical strategies
- Architecture and Design: Collaborate with architects and other team members to design scalable, efficient, and high-performance software/system architectures
- Review and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure code quality by implementing best practices and quality assurance measures
- Implement testing strategies to ensure the reliability and robustness of software systems
- Team Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and communication within the engineering team and cross-functional departments
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating effective communication
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in software development, with a proven track record of technical leadership and project management
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages, tools, and technologies related to the project or industry
- Strong understanding of software/system architecture, design patterns, and scalability principles
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both within the team and when collaborating with stakeholders
