Picture yourself brightening someone's day. When you join our Hotels team, that's exactly what you'll do every time you come to work! You will support the Chief Engineer / Assistant Chief Engineer in ensuring the smooth operation of all engineering functions, including hotel systems, plant and equipment, team management, sub-contractors, and maintenance of property structure and assets. As an
Engineering Executive, you're not just overseeing the daily operations of physical building and systems maintenance and repairs – you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Ensure facility safety and compliance: Support the maintenance of the hotel's buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Supervise maintenance operations: Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks, ensuring thorough documentation of completed work in the property management system.
- Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance
- Oversee contractor work: Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance
- Respond to service requests: Ensure maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations are addressed promptly and efficiently
- Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance
- Equipment Maintenance & Efficiency: Repair and maintain all hotel systems and equipment, ensuring efficiency and informing management about deficiencies and stock control needs.
- Cost Management: Adhere to departmental operating expenses, evaluate products for reuse, monitor stock levels, and ensure the operation runs according to budgets and profit margins.

In Addition, This Role Requires The Following Minimum Qualifications
- HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitter trade-qualified advantageous
- Must have sound general Engineering knowledge and trade background
- At least 5 years in a Service Technician position or similar position with working experience in a 5-star hotel.
