  • As an Engineering Analyst, Grade II, you will verify compliance of designs with strength and functional requirements through detailed engineering analysis and calculations for SURF(Subsea Umbilical's, Risers, and Flowlines) systems, directly supporting Oceaneering's project delivery objectives. Working under supervision, this role is critical to Oceaneering's delivery capability as you take ownership of assigned scopes, make sound decisions on routine engineering activities, and demonstrate initiative in achieving team goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes on time, while collaborating and communicating effectively, will define your success in this role.
  • This role is expected to be based 100% in the office during the initial 6–12 months to enable strong foundational learning, close collaboration with Senior Analysts, and accelerated development through hands‑on project exposure. As proficiency and role readiness are established, the position transitions to a hybrid work arrangement, enabling a balance between focused independent work and effective collaboration across project teams. This phased approach supports long‑term work‑life harmony while continuing to contribute effectively to global projects from anywhere.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis to support internal project execution, technical training, and professional development activities.

Responsibilities

Needs to perform following activities under supervision:

  • Study inputs available (drawings, CAD models, technical documents) for a product / design
  • Establish analysis approach and schedule
  • Verify compliance to strength & functional requirements of designs through Engineering analysis & calculations
  • Interpret & use industry codes & standards relevant to product being worked upon
  • Review analysis basis document, load test procedure
  • Review models, drawings & calculation reports created by the designers
  • Understand and comply to established Engineering processes
  • Monitor & record performance/health parameters related to project assigned, take corrective actions in case of any anomaly observed, define/implement preventive action plan
  • Communicate regular progress updates to customer
  • Prepare design verification reports
  • Ascertain Engineering deliveries with required quality, within schedule
  • Participate in design reviews with internal customer
  • Resolve technical queries raised by customers or third party reviewers, assist design approval process
  • Prepare Engineering calculations templates
  • Prepare analysis process documents
  • Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals
  • Should be open to travel as per business needs
  • Work towards individual goals aligned with department and organizational objectives
  • Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures
  • Understand and adhere to organizational HSE policies and practices
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
  • Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has/does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Post Graduation (Master degree) in Mechanical/Ocean/Subsea (or related) Engineering with minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience, OR
  • Graduation (bachelor's degree) in Mechanical/Ocean/Subsea (or related) Engineering with minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

  • Good knowledge and experience of global as well as local analysis of SURF systems
  • Good knowledge of relevant CAE software (e.g. OrcaFlex, UFlex, ANSYS, RISA, Sesam etc.)
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes/standards (e.g.; DNV-GL, API, ASME, AISC etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Engineering programming tools (e.g.; Python, R-Programming, Matlab etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Communication skills

  • Organizing & planning skills
