Job Description

Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Sciences), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • 5 years of experience with Python and SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with classification systems, ranking systems and mobile ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling, experiment design, data mining, and quantitative analysis, and experience with fraud and risk management.
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java), front-end tools (e.g., HTML, JavaScript).
  • Proven track record of problem solving and a quantitative mind, capable of translating analytical insights into business strategies and actions, and the ability to work collaboratively with AI tools/platform to design solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and people management skills to convey technical concepts to cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. The mission of the Publisher Quality team is to protect Google's users and advertisers by ensuring that publishers comply with our policies. Our team defends the world's largest content network, comprising around 1 million active publishers who own hundreds of millions of apps. We have a critical responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting abuse, spam and fraud across Google products like Search, Maps, AdMob, etc.

As a Publisher Quality Engineering Analyst you will need to have proven analytical abilities and a strong desire to defend our users and advertisers from abuse. You understand the user's point of view and are passionate about using your technical, sales and customer service acumen to protect users. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google developers and Product Managers to navigate challenging online safety situations and manage abuse and spam cases at Google speed.

A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced statistical methods on large datasets to analyze abuse impact on the mobile ads ecosystem, as well as app content, ad implementations, and behaviors across AdSense, AdX, and AdMob. Build/evaluate models and agentic pipelines to automate decision-making and generate actionable leads.
  • Conduct complex, data-driven investigations to identify defense gaps, experiment with new signals, and develop scalable enforcement solutions for non-compliant publisher inventory.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Trust and Safety (T&S) teams to close product vulnerabilities, push for policy changes, and improve or automate workflows.
  • Present a unified enforcement experience to external publishers and support internal sales teams on cases affecting their portfolios.
  • Collaborate with and mentor global team members. Be able to review or be exposed to sensitive content.
