Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and deploying advanced thermal and Artificial Intelligence (AI) simulation methods across the Lighting Systems Product Group
Methodology & Tool Development
Develop New Methods: Lead the development of new methods in thermal simulation, including Reduced Order Models (ROM) or 3D surrogate models, and AI algorithm prediction.
Define Roadmap: Develop and deploy the thermal simulation methods roadmap inside the Lighting Systems Product Group.
Ensure Compliance: Develop accurate thermal methodologies in compliance with the 3D thermal simulation, surrogate model, and Artificial Intelligence Development Plan of the PG/PL.
Project Identification: Identify and propose new thermal projects or updates to existing methods (e.g., simulation data management, HPC, machine learning) based on new products, innovation, platforms, electronics, benchmarks, or supplier information.
Standardization & Capitalization:
Follow standardization rules and participate in standard updates.
Capitalize on simulation method improvements and validation test methods via reports and procedures.
Update standard documents related to new thermal simulation and ensure new standard awareness with all mtiers.
Evaluate with experts the validity of best practices in thermal and ensure their deployment.
Participate in the definition of design rules and methodologies improvement for current thermal methods.
Team Leadership & Competence Development
Team Management: Lead a dedicated team of up to 3 employees or lead expert or contributor in other RO
Training: In charge of training development, updating the training simulation matrix with the VISITEC team.
Local Trainer Support: Train local trainers to an autonomous level.
Expertise Development: Apply thermal simulation methods and continuously develop expertise.
Team Improvement: Insure the application of thermal and mechanical methods and their improvement by the simulation engineers.
Networking: Participate in and share information with the Network of the mtier at the Product Group and Business Group levels.
Technical Application & Validation
Requirements Review: Review Internal Requirements, Customer Requirements, and Specifications.
Solver Update: Update the solver simulation method or AI tools to maximize application.
Validation & Correlation:
Validate the output and efficiency of simulations with stakeholders.
Validate the solutions and correlate the calculations to the measurements.
Follow the accuracy of thermal and mechanical tools with capitalization.
In charge of the robust design/validation of new methods in line with economical targets.
Technical Support: Support technical architecture and standards deployment on P1 product project..
Design Reviews: Support design reviews (internal on P1 and with suppliers) and ensure the application of deliverables for design review.
Financial Monitoring & Efficiency
Budget/Cost Following: Participate in the yearly budget of resources, follow hourly rates, invoiced hours/STR declarations, etc., with PG and SC.
Efficiency Proposals: Identify, propose cost reduction, cost avoidance, and HC saving time by automating repetitive tasks or improving simulation processes with measurable justification.
Efficiency Deployment: Evaluate efficiency proposals of new thermal projects and promote their deployment in all simulation sites.
Reporting: Present to PMC the budget follow-up, main action savings, deliverable accuracy, and next actions. Responsible twice a year for the KPI and update of the thermal roadmap (by delegation).

EHS Application: Apply the procedures and Environmental, Safety and Security good practices, know the potential risks and their consequences for their activities, be attentive, be reactive, and know the associated action plans.
