Reporting To: Factory Head / Operations Manager

Experience Required: 2-5 years

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering.

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Engineer will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement planning, inventory control, packing, and dispatch coordination. This role ensures smooth material flow, cost optimization, and on-time delivery by collaborating closely with production, quality, purchase, and logistics teams.

  • Supply Chain Planning:
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with production and sales requirements.
  • Plan procurement schedules to ensure continuous availability of raw materials and packing materials.
  • Coordinate with the production and purchase teams to prevent material shortages or overstocking.
  • Optimize warehouse space and improve material handling efficiency.
  • Packing & Logistics Coordination:
  • Ensure standardized, safe, and cost-effective packing processes to prevent product damage.
  • Manage transportation planning for timely and accurate delivery to customers.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with company and statutory norms.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor stock levels, ensure accurate inventory tracking, and minimize discrepancies.
  • Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and other inventory management practices.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile inventory data with ERP reports.
  • Identify and reduce non-moving or slow-moving inventory.
  • Process Improvement & Cost Control:
  • Analyze the current supply chain process and identify areas of improvement.
  • Implement cost-saving measures related to packing, logistics, and material management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Train team members on supply chain best practices and safety norms.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records for procurement, inventory movement, packing, and dispatch.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly supply chain performance reports.
  • Provide regular updates to management on supply chain efficiency and challenges.
