Job Description
Responsible for supervising and guiding the structural steel erection and fabrication activities on site, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project timelines. The role demands hands-on leadership to manage work crews, coordinate with engineers, and maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Supervise and lead teams of fabricators, fitters, riggers, and welders during the erection and alignment of structural steel components at the site.
Interpret structural drawings and erection sequences and ensure accurate and efficient execution of work.
Oversee the alignment, bolting, and welding of steel structures such as beams, columns, trusses, girders, and bracings.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and construction specifications throughout all stages of steel erection.
Monitor the proper use of lifting equipment, cranes, jacks, and other tools to handle heavy steel sections.
