Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts visual, dimensional and geometry inspection to ensure the quality of finished products in fabrication and machine shops and at vendor end.
- Determines and uses appropriate inspection processes and instruments to confirm assigned products and parts meet drawing / ITPs/QAPs/Control Plan / Specifications.
- Conducts stage inspection like fit-up/tack weld, assembly, welding, NDT, leak test, in fabrication shop.
- Perform stage inspection and final inspection in machine shops for geometrical, linear and angular dimensional inspection and witness to different customers.
- Preparation of QA documents with reference to drawing/QAPs/TDCs and customer approval/clearance.
- Review of supplier inspection reports and liaison with subcontracting department.
- Coordinate with respective departments for day-to-day inspection calls.
- Communicate day-to-day inspection to respective departments by verbal and e-mail/application.
- Full fill the company / ISO 9001 requirements.
- Coordinating with customers on stage wise/final inspection
- Preparation of Quality dossiers as per QAP/ITPs.
- Reporting to section In Charge/Quality Head.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment, independently and organized manned within stipulated time at workshop/supplier place.
- Knowledge of differentmaterial, fabricationprocesses, welding symbols and machining symbols.
- Through knowledge in various Indian and international standards / ASME Codes.
- Knowledge on assurance of geometrical parameter and dimensions inspection in job against the given specification.
- Experience with different measuring instruments for its specific applications.
- Knowledge on basic maths skill that required proving by calculation,
- Ability to read and interpretation of fabrication and machining drawings, control plan and specifications
- Shall have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel or similar software to prepare reports
- Proficient in preparation of MIS and PPT
- Qualification and work on hand experience in NDT methods like UT.LPE/MPT etc.
- Proficient in supplier quality inspection and management.
- Knowledge of inspection methods, measuring instruments, drawing, GD & T symbols
- IMS, 5S and Safety
- Through knowledge in ISO 9001 system requirements.
Educational qualification:
- Throughout should be minimum 60%, Diploma/Degree-Mechanical required.
