Location: Sarlanagar Cement Works, Sedam

Professional Qualifications: Automobile engineer

Essential: Automobile engineer / Diploma Mechanical

Preferably: Automobile engineer

JOB PROFILE

Auto Garage is responsible for planning, execution, and supervision of preventive and breakdown maintenance of mobile equipment and transport vehicles, ensuring high availability, safety compliance, operational efficiency, and cost control. The role supports the Section Head in manpower deployment, workshop management, spares planning, and vendor coordination.

KRA 1: Availability of LMV

1. Operational availibility of Hyva Tipper, Tatamobile, Hydra and Tractor, carrying out PM Maintenance as per the equipment running hours 250Hrs, 500Hrs, 1000Hrs and 2000Hrs

2. Carrying out Daily, Weekly and Monthly maintenance schedules

3. Attending of running Equipment breakdown by replacing the required spares at the earliest and reducing the equipment breakdown time.

4. Design related problem to be rectified by adopting corrective maintenance to improve spares life.

5. Timely replacement of spares to avoid secondary damages as per ESS and CBM reports.

KRA 2: Sum Assembly repairs

1. Promoting in-house repairs of Sub Assembly instead of procuring new one.

2. Equipment life to be increased by replacing the OEM spares immediately.

3. Repairs and overhauling of Engine, Gear box and Differential for keeping good condition of the equipment.

4. Servicing and repair of Suspension arrangement

KRA 3: Planned Maintenance Compliance

1. Equipment history to be monitored and the identified defects to be attended immediately

2. Creating a culture of maintaining records of all maintenance activities through PM order.

KRA 4: No of Suggestions / Kaizens to be implemented

Kaizens implementation . 3 Nos per year.

KRA 5: Safety Performance

1. Zero reportable injuries in Auto Garage

2. Completion of identified SCAR points at Auto Garage - 100% compliance to safety audit with in 15 days.

3. Conducting OJT training in site for safe operation of the equipment. 4. Equipment to be installed with all the safety devices for safe operation of the machine and man.

5. Adherence to tool box talk, task observations, SOPs and work permit system

1. Zero reportable injuries in Auto Garage

2. Completion of identified SCAR points at Auto Garage - 100% compliance to safety audit with in 15 days.

3. Conducting OJT training in site for safe operation of the equipment. 4. Equipment to be installed with all the safety devices for safe operation of the machine and man.

5. Adherence to tool box talk, task observations, SOPs and work permit system

6. Reporting near miss incidents
