Role Overview
Happiest Minds is seeking experienced macOS Desktop Support Engineers to provide enterprise-level desktop support for macOS and Linux environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining system stability, security, and operational excellence across client environments.
Mandatory Skills & Competencies
- Strong macOS knowledge and Linux knowledge in at least one flavor such as Ubuntu.
- Knowledge of package management (deb/rpm) and repository management; macOS package formats such as pkg/dmg/mpkg.
- System administration expertise including filesystem, disk encryption, boot process, permissions, networking, and process management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and analytical mindset.
- Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to logically analyze issues and propose effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for macOS and Linux desktop systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot OS-level issues efficiently.
- Manage software installations, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Ensure system stability, security, and compliance.
- Maintain detailed documentation for issues, solutions, and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
