General Summary

Qualcomm is a leading technology innovator driving digital transformation and enabling next-generation experiences. As a Qualcomm Machine Learning Engineer, you will design and implement advanced machine learning frameworks, SDKs, and tools for Snapdragon platforms, contributing to a broad range of technology verticals.

In this senior role, you will lead development of applications and test frameworks for Agentic AI and multimodal use cases using Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs. You will drive architecture, feature development, and collaborate across AI software teams and internal sub-teams supporting the Orchestrator SDK. This role requires autonomous decision-making and leadership that impacts beyond the immediate team.


Responsibilities

  • Develop test applications for Agentic AI and multimodal use cases on Snapdragon platforms using Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs and tools.
  • Lead architecture design, feature development, and SDK enhancements across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with AI software teams and internal stakeholders supporting Orchestrator SDK.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to team members while working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Make significant technical decisions influencing the wider organization.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of general software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Android/Linux software development.
  • Strong experience with ML application development in Python, C, and/or C++.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to lead software teams and collaborate effectively.
  • Solid software design and development skills (data structures, algorithms, OOP or similar paradigms, debugging, testing).
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and develop plans amid uncertainty.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple operating systems (Linux, Android, QNX).
  • Familiarity with Qualcomm AI Stack products such as QNN, SNPE, QAIRT.
  • Knowledge of LLM, LVM, LMM models, ONNX runtime, and neural network architectures.
  • Additional software development experience in Python and Java.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 6+ years software engineering experience, or
  • Master's degree with 5+ years experience, or
  • PhD with 4+ years experience.
