General Summary

We are looking for a Senior Audio Test Engineer with 5 to 8 years of strong experience in Audio Testing, Audio Analysis, and Audio Validation for embedded, wearable, or consumer audio products. The ideal candidate should possess solid troubleshooting and debugging skills, a good understanding of audio technologies and KPIs, and a passion for delivering high-quality products. We are seeking a proactive team player who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative audio validation team while driving continuous improvements in test quality and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Audio quality testing, ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), ECNS, and concurrency scenarios involving voice and music.
• Assist in setting up and deploying audio validation frameworks/test setups using specialized hardware, sound cards, and audio cables.
• Execute and debug automated test scenarios for audio interfaces and use-case scenarios.
• Provide inputs on dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Represent the test team in bug scrubs and design reviews.
• Create relevant documentation following the department's processes.
• Contribute towards continuous improvements in test coverage, execution, automation, and processes.
  
  

Minimum Qualification

• Experience in audio/system testing for embedded systems, with exposure to automated and manual test frameworks.
• Exposure to Audio Quality KPIs and Terminologies, with hands-on experience in measuring the same.
• Experience working with sound cards, identifying glitches and drops, and analyzing audio characteristics such as frequency response, THD+N, and SNR.
• Familiarity with audio analysis tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, etc.
• Ability to identify the root cause of failures and provide first-level analysis.
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills to isolate potential system issues.
• Excellent communication skills and proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with software configuration tools, preferably Perforce.
• B.Tech/B.E./Master's in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing automation tests using scripting languages (Python/C preferred).
• Good understanding of Bluetooth audio profiles.
• Good exposure to Manual and Automated Audio Testing.
• Experience in Audio Tuning.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  
  

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
