Engineer/Senior Engineer - Utility Maintenance

The Engineer/Senior Engineer - Utility Maintenance role manages utility operations, preventive maintenance, and statutory compliance at a manufacturing facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The position supports reliable factory operations by maintaining gas distribution, compressed air, electrical power, cooling utility, and associated industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-capacity screw air compressors and air dryers to maintain stable pneumatic pressure for plasma cutting equipment and tools
• Maintain central gas manifolds and distribution pipelines for shielding gases, including argon, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and acetylene
• Manage the operation of high-capacity diesel generator sets, high-tension and low-tension electrical panels, and transformers
• Maintain water chillers and cooling towers used to cool heavy welding transformers and plasma torch heads
• Design and execute preventive maintenance schedules to prevent structural or alignment shifts in heavy machinery
• Enforce Lockout-Tagout protocols and ensure compliance with the Indian Factories Act, Electrical Inspectorate requirements, and Pollution Control Board guidelines
• Conduct root cause analysis using 5-Why and Fishbone methods to address recurring welding machine or crane failures and prevent repeat breakdowns
  
  

Requirements

• Experience in utility operations and maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of compressed air systems, industrial gas distribution, diesel generator sets, electrical panels, transformers, water chillers, and cooling towers
• Experience developing and executing preventive maintenance schedules for heavy machinery and utility equipment
• Knowledge of Lockout-Tagout protocols and applicable factory, electrical, and environmental compliance requirements
• Ability to perform root cause analysis using 5-Why and Fishbone methods
• Experience troubleshooting welding machines, cranes, or related manufacturing equipment
