Engineer, Quality Engineering / SDET

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain automated testing infrastructure.
• Create and run test plans for APIs, services, and frontend applications.
• Work closely with developers to test new features before, during, and after development.
• Validate APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or custom test scripts.
• Monitor and improve test coverage across unit, integration, and system levels.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar).
• Perform load, performance, and security testing to ensure robustness under scale.
• Collaborate with DevOps to manage test environments and mock services.

What We're Looking For

• 3-6 years of experience in test automation or QA roles with a strong technical foundation.
• Solid knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks
• Strong understanding of API testing, including writing test scripts in Postman or code.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (preferably Python or JavaScript).
• Familiarity with testing across microservices and architectures.
• Comfort working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD platforms.
• Strong debugging skills and ability to read logs and trace issues across systems.
• Experience writing detailed bug reports, test cases, and documentation.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and testing infrastructure in cloud-native stacks.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes for environment simulation.
• Familiarity with contract testing (e.g., Pact) or mocking frameworks.
• Performance and load testing experience (e.g., using JMeter, Locust, or k6).
