Role Overview/Your Impact
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks from scratch for web and API
testing
- Implement and optimize continuous testing strategies within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Lead the integration of AI-powered testing solutions to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and
accelerate release cycles
- Develop and execute comprehensive test automation strategies for both UI and API layers
- Mentor team members on best practices in test automation, framework architecture, and continuous testing
- Drive metrics and KPIs demonstrating effort savings, defect detection rates, and time-to-market
improvements
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of the
SDLC
- Establish and maintain test data management strategies and test environment configurations
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to automation coding standards
What Does The Team Do
We are seeking an experienced Engineer-QA to lead our test automation initiatives and drive continuous testing practices across our engineering organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building robust automation frameworks from the ground up, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging AI to accelerate testing cycles and reduce time to market.
Our Expectations
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience in test automation & proven experience building Playwright automation
frameworks from scratch
- Strong expertise in Web UI automation and API automation (REST, GraphQL, SOAP)
- Demonstrated experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated test execution and reporting
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Testing practices in DevOps environments
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for Playwright test development
- Strong experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver framework development
- Proven track record implementing AI/ML solutions in test automation (e.g., AI-assisted test generation, intelligent test selection, visual AI testing, self-healing tests)
- Demonstrated ability to quantify impact: documented effort savings, reduced execution time, or faster release cycles from automation initiatives
- Experience with version control systems (Git), test management tools, and defect tracking systems
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices
Preferred Skills
- Migration experience from Java Selenium frameworks to Playwright
- Experience with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm)
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (Playwright Performance APIs, k6, JMeter)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for test environments
- Familiarity with accessibility testing (WCAG standards) and security testing
- Experience with visual regression testing tools
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
- Experience with test reporting and analytics dashboards (Allure, ReportPortal, custom solutions)
Technical Skills
