Engineer - Product QA (Telecom Products)

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our Product Engineering team in Bengaluru. The role involves testing and validating telecom products, identifying defects, troubleshooting issues, and supporting successful product releases.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Validation

• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Test product features, configurations, rules, and traffic scenarios.
• Analyse logs, CDRs, and PCAP traces to troubleshoot issues.
• Identify, reproduce, track, and validate software defects.
• Perform root cause analysis and verify bug fixes.
• Support feature validation, UAT, and release testing.
• Prepare test cases, test reports, and release validation documents.
• Work closely with Development, Deployment, and Support teams to ensure product quality.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA inputs.

Required Skills

• Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Good understanding of test case design, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Wireshark / PCAP analysis.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/RHEL and SQL/database queries.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of test automation or scripting is an added advantage.

Telecom Domain – Preferred

• Experience in the Telecom domain is preferred.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with any of the following protocols is an added advantage:
• SMPP
• SS7 / SIGTRAN
• Diameter
• SIP

• Exposure to SMS, voice, signaling, or telecom network elements is an added advantage.
• Experience with SMS Firewall / Voice Firewall or telecom fraud scenarios is a plus.
