Job Description

We're looking for an Engineer- Process Automation to develop and support cutting-edge software-enabled products for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The person in this position will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and prototyping to designing, building, and testing. A key part of this role is working closely with product management to define and shape innovative products that meet customer needs.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Gather, analyze, and define requirements for new, complex software functionality by collaborating with product managers, customers, and internal development teams.
  • Engineer and develop sustainable software systems using prototyping and clear software design.
  • Write high-quality, easy-to-maintain code that is optimized for performance and memory usage.
  • Create comprehensive design, functional, and quality assurance test documentation.
  • Implement automated testing at the unit and regression framework levels.
  • Validate the correct operation of both software and hardware systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to support and development teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • An academic degree in Electronics and Communication / Instrumentation Engineering or a comparable engineering field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in developing commercial software products.
  • Good experience with modern software engineering processes and methodologies.

Skills

  • Excellent development skills in Siemens PLC, TIA Portal V16 or above, and WinCC V7.5 or above.
  • Proven high-level proficiency in VB scripting, C#, C/C++, and XML.
  • Strong, demonstrable object-oriented and software development skills.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Windows Forms, WCF, WPF, SQL and database programming, hardware control/interfaces (serial, network, USB), graphical user interface development, memory and performance optimization, data analysis and visualization, and parallel programming.
  • Strong personal initiative and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work constructively in a team environment.
