Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in CNC Cutting, Nesting and CNC Programming for a heavy/static equipment manufacturing environment. The role will be responsible for managing plate and pipe cutting activities and ensuring accurate parts and kits are prepared and delivered to the Equipment Manufacturing shop on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage CNC cutting activities for plates and pipes.
• Handle CNC programming and nesting to optimize material utilization.
• Manage Plasma and Oxy-Fuel cutting operations.
• Plan cutting activities and ensure timely preparation of parts and kits for fabrication.
• Monitor cutting quality, dimensional accuracy and material traceability.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Fabrication and Quality teams for smooth execution.
• Manage daily shop throughput and ensure kits are delivered as per project schedules.
• Maintain cutting, inspection and preparation documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, QAP and applicable engineering standards.
• Support process improvements and optimize Cutting Cell operations.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience in heavy fabrication / static equipment manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in CNC programming and nesting.
• Strong experience in plate and pipe cutting.
• Hands-on experience with Plasma and Oxy-Fuel cutting.
• Experience with CNC nesting software and AutoCAD.
• Experience in part preparation and kitting for fabrication.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, EN, TEMA and ASTM standards.
• Experience in production planning, shop-floor coordination and KPI management.
• SAP/ERP knowledge will be an added advantage.
