What You'll Do
- Understand customer requirements and prepare the GA drawings, Busway component selection and calculations, detailed BOM for given customer requirement in Bidman.
- Consult with Eaton sales, outside distributor and Electrical contractors to define order requirement and getting order clarification from these stakeholders.
- Act as order technical lead for sales and shop floor people to clarify order special requirements and assist shop floor during manufacturing of Busway sections.
- Coordinate with other Eaton busway plants for co-ordination jobs
- Hands on design experience of LV Busway product custom order engineering.
- Hands on experience in calculations and selections of different Busbar sizing, Enclosure selection & busway accessories.
- Develops a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs for Busway product line.
- Consults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining special order requirements.
- Coordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other Eaton products.
- Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.
- Possesses strong computer skills and proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and other Engineering/Business software applications.
- Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach other team members from team in Busway specification interpretation and in developing special layouts.
Qualifications
BE / M Tech Mechanical
4 to 6 yrs. in Busway Custom order engineering
Skills
- Experience in Autodesk Inventor/ProE/AutoCAD
- Experience in PLM software like SAP/Windchill/Enovia and BOM
- Experience in ERP tools like Mapics , POM & AS 400
- Project management, Working with Global team
- Ability to interpret data from multiple sources to determine final requirements
- Fluent in English and able to communicate with team overseas
- Experience to work with cross functional team
- Experience with stringent timelines, and support of multiple projects in parallel
