A growing international engineering organization is seeking an experienced Engineer Manager to to be responsible for leading and managing multi-disciplinary engineering activities.
The role ensures timely delivery of engineering deliverables in compliance with project specifications, international codes, budgeted man-hours, and schedules, while coordinating closely with Project Management, Procurement, Construction, and external stakeholders.
The location of the position in Gurgaon.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical leadership throughout all project phases.
- Act as the primary engineering authority, ensuring compliance with company standards, client specifications, and applicable international codes and regulations.
Project Planning & Control
- Plan, organize, and oversee engineering activities in line with EPC project schedules, deliverables, and budgets.
- Monitor engineering progress, resource allocation, man-hours, and project risks, implementing corrective actions where required.
Engineering Management & Delivery
- Review, approve, and ensure the quality of key engineering deliverables during FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Construction Support phases.
- Ensure engineering outputs effectively support procurement, fabrication, and construction activities.
- Provide technical support to procurement processes, including preparation of technical requisitions, bid evaluations, and vendor documentation reviews.
- Monitor and assess the performance and quality of engineering services delivered by subcontractors and external partners.
Stakeholder Coordination & Technical Reviews
- Serve as the primary interface between clients, vendors, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and risk and safety studies, including HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL reviews.
Quality Assurance & Team Development
- Ensure adherence to engineering quality management systems and document control procedures.
- Mentor and support engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence within the team.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Management, or a relevant field will be considered a strong advantage.
- Additional certifications in Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Project Management, or Engineering Management are highly desirable.
- PMP, PRINCE2, MBA, or equivalent project management and business qualifications will be considered an asset.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Additional languages are a plus.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 20 years experience in the development and execution of industrial projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proven track record managing engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Significant involvement in international projects and multicultural environments.
- Strong leadership background in senior engineering management positions.
- In-depth understanding of engineering principles, project execution methodologies, and industrial facility development.
