Qualifications/Requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • ITI or Diploma Mechanical engineering completed with minimum 3 years experience with Furnace oil & gas operated boiler system.
  • Frist class or second glass Boiler Attendant certificate competency.
  • Field experience in high pressure boiler above 10.5 kg/cm2
  • Install and repairs plumbing/piping/tubing.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of Boiler and utility systems.
  • Performs mechanical and basic electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs relating to all experimental / production / building equipment and ground utilities & Operation of water treatment systems
  • Perform routine operations and maintenance, water chemistry following technical manuals and schematics without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to aid the mechanic in trouble shooting and repair for most types of equipment listed above by describing operating conditions and parameters associated with failure.
  • Must have knowledge of systems and how one system affects another.
  • Must perform advanced casualty control procedures to minimize damage to equipment and personnel.
  • Must perform accurate record keeping for operations and repair work orders for all planned and repair maintenance.
  • Position requires the ability to work 12hr rotating shifts.
  • Monitored readings through a computer system to ensure efficiency of all systems.
  • Formed reports of all boiler activity with a focus on suggested improvements.
