Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Linux Administrator to manage and support enterprise-scale Linux environments across multiple distributions including RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky, and Alma Linux. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in system administration, automation, clustering, and container technologies.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain various Linux distributions: RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux
  • Implement and manage Pacemaker High Availability (HA) Clusters
  • Perform patch management.
  • Create and manage partitions, LVMs, and mount file systems
  • Configure and manage yum repositories, perform kernel upgrades and minor OS version updates
  • Troubleshoot Linux servers running on virtual platforms
  • Perform scheduled operations such as log rotation, cron job management, and automated tasks
  • Monitor and tune server performance, analyze logs and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Apply ITIL best practices in incident, request, problem, and change management
  • Configure and secure systems using iptables, TCP wrappers, and host-level firewall settings
  • Install and configure services: FTP, Samba, NFS (server/client), DNS, HTTPD/Apache, LDAP
  • Manage DNS entries and host records using DNS portals
  • Automate tasks using Shell Scripting and Ansible Playbooks
  • Perform system backups using tar, rsync, scp, gzip, etc.
  • Work in 24/7 support model, primarily during North America shifts
  • Prepare incident reports (IRs) and root cause analysis documentation
  • Support project build and BAU operations for large-scale infrastructure

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2-4 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, system boot process, runlevels, and systemd
  • Experience in Pacemaker cluster setup and troubleshooting
  • Scripting expertise in Bash/Shell.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for infrastructure and application issues
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) / Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA)
