Engineer/ Junior Manager/ Assistant Manager Electrical

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead and supervise electrical installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning activities for plant systems, ensuring safe, reliable and uninterrupted power supply and maximum equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise electrical maintenance, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Manage HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, HT/LT panels, MCCs, PCCs, motors, VFDs/soft starters and electrical protection systems.
• Supervise installation and maintenance of cable trays, power/control cables, earthing, lightning protection and plant lighting systems.
• Ensure reliable power supply to critical plant equipment including crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers and associated systems.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, electrical faults and downtime and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead troubleshooting of motors, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, panels, protection systems and electrical circuits.
• Conduct and monitor electrical testing including IR testing, continuity testing, earth resistance, relay/protection testing and motor testing.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Instrumentation/Automation, Civil, Operations and Projects teams for smooth plant operations.
• Coordinate with OEMs, electrical contractors and vendors for installation, maintenance, repairs and commissioning.
• Review SLDs, electrical layouts, cable schedules, control schematics and equipment drawings.
• Support plant erection, modification, expansion and commissioning projects.
• Ensure proper electrical interlocking and integration with PLC/SCADA and automation systems wherever applicable.
• Plan and supervise shutdown maintenance and major electrical overhauling activities.
• Ensure availability of critical electrical spares, tools and consumables.
• Maintain electrical equipment history, maintenance records, test reports and breakdown reports.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO, work permits, PPE and statutory requirements.
• Lead and develop the electrical maintenance team and ensure effective manpower utilization.

Qualification & Experience :

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
• 4- 8 years of relevant experience in plant electrical maintenance, installation and commissioning.
• Strong hands-on experience with HT/LT systems, Sub- station, MCC/PCC, transformers, motors, VFDs, electrical protection and plant power distribution.
• Experience in crushing and conveyor plant electrical systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, team management, contractor coordination and project execution skills.
