Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a NUnit based automation framework to drive test execution against simulator
  • Build reusable service-layer components: TCP/socket connection handling, XML message construction and parsing, database state verification (polling Rx status/reason against expected values within timeout), and structured logging
  • Automate test cases
  • Implement fault-injection scenarios for Resilience & Chaos suites (connection drops, malformed/oversized messages, duplicate ACKs, timeout/watchdog behavior) and validate structured log output as a pass/fail criterion
  • Integrate the automated suite into a CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions) with phase-gated execution
  • Maintain a requirement-to-test-case traceability matrix
  • Flag and document the small set of manual-only cases that fall outside automation scope
  • Work within a compressed timeline — prioritize a working, CI-gated regression suite over exhaustive tooling polish

Required Skills

  • 4+ years hands-on test automation experience, with strong C# and NUnit 3 (or equivalent xUnit-family framework) expertise
  • Solid experience with TCP/socket-level programming and XML message-based integration testing (not just REST/HTTP)
  • Experience building or extending a layered/service-oriented automation framework (not just writing flat test scripts) — comfortable with concepts like connection/auth abstraction, database verification services, and fault-injection harnesses
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with database validation (SQL queries, polling for state transitions with timeout logic)
  • Comfortable working against a fixed, aggressive delivery timeline with minimal ramp-up time

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience testing hardware-integrated or device-simulator-driven systems (pharmacy automation, IoT, industrial control, or similar domains)
  • Familiarity with chaos engineering principles (steady-state verification, fault injection, recovery validation)
  • Healthcare/pharmacy domain exposure, including PHI-awareness in logging and data handling
  • Experience with resilience/reliability testing patterns (retry logic, watchdog timers, connection recovery)
