We are seeking a highly skilled AIT Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the aerospace or mechanical fields.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support development of integration strategy of the UAV airframe and onboard systems.
- Definition of Assembly sequence for the airframe modules and onboard systems.
- Aid development of mechanical routing scheme for wire harness.
- Mechanical assembly of the airframe & onboard systems.
- Inspection & maintenance of the UAV airframe and mechanical interfaces.
- Ownership & maintenance of UAV system configuration logs, change logs, issue logs & test logs.
- Aid in planning and execution of tests on the UAV systems at various levels of Integration & Assembly.
- Development, configuration, utilization, maintenance and upgradation of test setups for UAV systems.
- Support Flight Testing Activities.
- Prepare technical documentation related to assembly, integration and testing.
- Task, guide and oversee mechanical technicians.
Required Qualifications:
- B.Tech in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with 5+ years of practical experience in
- Assembly & Integration or Aircraft/UAVs (or) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with Aircraft or UAV integration & Assembly
- Familiar with mechanical integration techniques.
- Familiar with various types of mechanical interfaces such as fasteners, rivets, etc, their pros, cons and limitations for a given application.
- Familiar with assembly tools and their safe usage practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Integration and testing of Jet Engine and Fuel system components on UAVs
- Exposure to the formal testing process including test planning, procedure definition and report writing.
- Familiar with typical UAV onboard components and their interfaces. Exposure to flight testing
