Position: Greenfield Project Engineer

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Reporting To: Plant Head

Experience: 3 - 6 years in Greenfield Projects

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Engineering.

About the Company

A leading manufacturing company in the agricultural inputs and specialty products sector is establishing a new manufacturing facility at Coimbatore. The organization is looking for a dynamic Project Engineer to support the successful execution of its Greenfield Project from construction to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Execute Greenfield project activities as per approved project schedule.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical and utility works.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety and timelines.
• Ensure timely completion within budget.

Engineering & Installation

• Supervise equipment installation, erection and commissioning.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and equipment suppliers.
• Review engineering drawings and layouts.
• Resolve site-related engineering issues.

Contractor & Vendor Management

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance and work quality.
• Verify work completion and certification.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications.

Utilities & Infrastructure

• Coordinate installation of electrical, water, compressed air, HVAC, fire protection and utility systems.
• Ensure utilities are ready before commissioning.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections.
• Coordinate with government authorities wherever required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain project documentation and engineering records.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Track project milestones and highlight risks.

Candidate Profile

• 3-6 years experience in Greenfield industrial projects.
• Experience in manufacturing, chemical, agrochemical, food or process industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project execution, contractor management and equipment installation.
• Exposure to utilities, civil coordination and commissioning.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and project scheduling.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to relocate to Coimbatore.
