Job Description:

Vertiv Global Engineering Centre, Pune is looking for Engineer -Sustainability to support their Product Development functions. He/she will be a Sustainability professional with experience in completing product Life Cycle Assessments and subject matter expertise in product sustainability requirements and global trends. Responsibilities include helping to build and support to complete and maintain LCAs of all Vertiv Products, developing the subject matter expertise, and ensuring sound engineering protocols are followed when completing Life Cycle and Embodied Carbon analyses. He/she will be proficient in the use of EIME, LCA for Experts, Ecoinvent, and CIBSE TM65, able to use the concepts like Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in Design activities and able to manage Multiple projects and keep them up to date on progress.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Environmental science/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • 3 to 5 Years of experience in the domain of sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment practices

  • Strong knowledge in the field of eco-design/sustainability, creating and maintainingproduct life cycle assessments and embodied carbon assessments.

  • Knowledge of ISO 14040, ISO 14044, Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), PEP-EcoPassport, ISO 14025.

  • Life Cycle Assessment Professional certification preferred

  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle management platforms like Oracle / SAP etc will be added advantage.

  • Working knowledge of GaBi LCA tool, LCI databases such as Ecoinvent, ELCD, Sphera database

  • Working knowledge of product bill of materials and full material declarations.

  • Ability to analyze regulations & interpret technical data that can be effectively communicated to product and technology teams.

  • Understanding of tools and methodologies for eco-design aspects of products, process and technology.

  • Quick Learner and Result-oriented by providing quality deliverables

  • Execute and co-ordinate on Multiple activities independently.

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in English
