Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Graduate Engineer Trainee to manage day-to-day manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manpower handling, production planning, inventory control, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient shop floor through lean practices and 5S implementation

Key Responsibilities

  • Manpower Handling: Supervise and allocate tasks to production workers. Ensure optimum manpower utilization across shifts. Monitor team performance and provide guidance as needed.
  • Production Planning: Execute daily and weekly production schedules as per plan. Coordinate with planning and materials teams to ensure timely production. Minimize downtime and ensure production targets are achieved.
  • 5S Implementation: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and discipline on the shopfloor using 5S principles. Conduct regular audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory. Coordinate with stores for timely availability of materials. Reportshortages or excesses and help maintain optimum stock levels.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Promote lean tools and practices to improve productivity and reduce waste. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction. Engage the team in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Safety Monitoring: Enforce safety procedures and protocols on the shopfloor. Conduct routine safety checks and ensure usage of PPE by workers. Report and resolve any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical field. Strong leadership and team management skills.
