This role is part of Landis+Gyr's EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. About the role:

This role has a responsibility for validating the product and releasing bug free product to the manufacturing within scheduled time. Identify the quality KPIs and ensure compliance at each stage.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:

• Product life testing.
• Working with similar type of industry.
• Reliability tests for Devices/Product.
• Feature understanding, identify test scenario, test cases, preparing test and validation plan.
• Failure detection & providing support to development team in failure analysis
• Demonstrate product features to stakeholders
• Validation of product as per test plans
• Bug logging with all details required
• Support to manufacturing
• Automation
• Buildup & Learn skills as demanded by project
• Left shifting bugs

Functional Competencies

• Testing and Validation Concepts
  - Test Requirement Assessment
  - Test Authoring and Scripting
  - Test Scripts Monitoring and Maintenance
• Product Reliability Test and Product Engineering knowledge
• Python
• Bug Tracking Tools
• Experience in System testing of embedded application
• Robot Framework, Selenium, TFS / Jenkins pipelines
• Automation of test cases, regressions
• NBIOT
• Cellular Communication, AT commands, SIM configuration.
• Security awareness (encryption, CRC, Checksum, AES, SHA, ECDSA, private/public keys)
• Debugging and root cause analysis
• ISTQB

Preferred candidate profile

• Overall experience required 3.5-6years
• Relevant tertiary qualification - B. E, B.Tech, M. E, M.Tech
• Exposure to electric or Gas Metering is great value add.
