- Job Purpose
To lead the estimation function by accurately forecasting project costs, supporting the sales process with technical and commercial insights, and coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure profitability and compliance with client requirements.
- Roles And Responsibilities
- *Lead Project Estimations:*
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
- *Coordinate with Sales & Project Teams:*
Support the sales team with technical estimations and provide necessary documentation for proposals.
- *Vendor Management for Quotations:*
Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing while meeting technical specifications.
Identify potential risks and suggest cost-effective solutions to maintain profitability.
- *Review and Approve Estimates:*
Validate estimates prepared by junior estimators or other departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Participate in technical discussions with clients to clarify project scope and present estimation details.
- *Documentation & Handover:*
Prepare and maintain all estimation-related documentation for smooth handover to execution and production teams.
Assist the sales team in price negotiations by providing data-driven insights and technical justifications.
- *Lead Estimation Meetings:*
Organize and lead estimation and review meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.

- Qualifications And Experience
- *Education:* B.E. Mechanical Engineering
- *Experience:* Minimum 7 years in estimation, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- *Skills:*
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in ERP and estimation software
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
