Electronics Engineer (Hardware Design)
Role Overview
We're looking for an Electronics Engineer with expertise in embedded systems development. The role involves designing, prototyping, and validating electronic circuits and embedded hardware for our Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, production-ready electronics that power advanced robotic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic circuits for control, sensing, power management, and communication in robotic platforms.
- Generate schematics and translate them into manufacturable PCB layouts using OrCAD (preferred) or other EDA tools.
- Develop and integrate embedded hardware components microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators ensuring seamless hardwarefirmware interaction.
- Prototype, assemble, and validate electronic systems and PCBs through testing and debugging.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and robotics engineers for end-to-end system integration.
- Conduct design reviews, maintain BOMs, test reports, and other documentation throughout the development cycle.
- Research and evaluate new components and technologies for performance and cost optimization.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry safety, EMI/EMC, and reliability standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in design, schematic capture, and embedded hardware development.
- Strong hands-on experience with electronic prototyping, testing, and debugging.
- Proficiency in EDA tools (OrCAD preferred; Altium, Eagle, KiCad also acceptable).
- Solid understanding of DFM, DFT, and signal integrity principles.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in robotics or automotive electronics development.
- Familiarity with embedded programming (Arduino, STM32, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience with EMI/EMC compliance and validation.
- Interest in emerging technologies in embedded systems and robotics.
