The Electrical Project Engineer shall oversee execution, testing, and commissioning of all electrical works to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant project delivery.
The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy
Major Responsibilities
Supervision of electrical installations including HT/LT systems, panels, cabling, and earthing
Review and approval of electrical drawings, layouts, and method statements
Coordination with DISCOM authorities for power supply and approvals
Inspection and testing of electrical installations
Monitoring contractor performance and safety compliance
Support in measurement, billing, and documentation of electrical works
Coordination with civil and mechanical teams during interface activities
Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
Compliance with electrical standards and safety norms
Quality of inspections, testing, and commissioning
Timely resolution of electrical issues
Accuracy of measurements and documentation
Coordination with stakeholders and authorities
Qualification and Experience & Technical Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure / utility projects
Experience in pumping stations, substations, and power distribution systems
Knowledge of IS/IEC standards and safety regulations
