Job Summary
The Engineer - Electrical will support the development, validation, and maintenance of electrical design data, libraries, and system documentation for Power and Thermal products. The role involves working with Creo Schematic and Cabling tools to create and validate electrical components, wiring harnesses, and associated datasets, while ensuring alignment with engineering standards, PLM systems, and product design requirements.
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain electrical component libraries within Creo Schematic.
- Create and manage: Symbols, ports, draft groups, blocks, and groups in schematic design.
- Support wiring harness design and electrical system development using Creo Cabling.
- Validate electrical schematics and cabling designs for: Design correctness and completeness & Connectivity and logical accuracy
- Ensure consistency between: Creo Schematic, Creo Parametric outputs & PLM / engineering data systems
- Perform data checks on: Wire sizing and electrical parameters & Dataset structures and member mapping
- Create and manage datasets, member maps, and structured data models.
- Support export and integration of schematic data into 3D CAD (Creo Parametric).
- Ensure proper documentation and alignment of electrical data with product lifecycle systems.
- Execute assigned engineering tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
- Provide timely support to global design teams to meet project timelines.
- Coordinate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
- Follow established engineering standards, SOPs, and workflows.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and schedule adherence as per organizational requirements.
- Support Value Engineering (VE) and Value Analysis (VA) initiatives to improve design efficiency.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical system design is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Creo Schematic & Cabling tool is must.
- Must have knowledge of electrical system design and wiring harness creation using Creo Cabling.
- Must be familiar with the implementation of the artifact types used in the symbols, such as draft groups, groups, blocks, and ports in Creo Schematics.
- Experience in developing and maintaining component libraries for Creo Schematic is preferred.
- Good Knowledge of electrical design concepts, including wire sizing and selection considerations, is required.
- Exposure to PLM systems and MCAD tools is an advantage.
- Experience with exporting files from Creo Schematic to Creo Parametric is required.
- Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and timely manner.
- Execute the Projects with Minimal support from Senior team members.
