Monitor and adjust process parameters to optimize casting operations, including temperature, flow, and pressure settings, to achieve desired material quality and minimize defects. Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and coordinate with maintenance teams to address issues promptly.
Conduct sampling and testing of metal and alloys to verify chemical compositions, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
Implement best practices in handling molten metal, including safe pouring, cooling, and mold management techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance casting methods, minimize waste, and improve overall productivity in line with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Document operational data, process deviations, and corrective actions to facilitate continuous improvement and audit compliance. Assist in training junior technicians and new hires on casting processes, safety protocols, and equipment handling procedures.
